Very good reasons to join your local Bowls Club.

The Rules are simple and fortunately they’re easy to learn, you can play singles, pairs or in teams.

It’s a gentle way to get active, during one match you can walk three miles while you’re playing, you're only doing 30 metre stints at a time, but you're doing a lot of them. On top of the walking, your arms will get a workout as you perfect your bowling technique and your leg muscles will develop as you deliver your bowl.

Our club puts on regular social functions, there are also opportunities to join the club committee or volunteer in the day-to-day running of the club, and there is a plenty of socialising  with fellow club members, families and friends. You  don’t have to be competitive to play.

Bowls truly is the sport which is accessible to and can be enjoyed by everyone,  bringing together people from all sections of the community starting at any age from primary school through to retirement and beyond.

Here at COGENHOE BOWLS CLUB located on the Brafield Road in Cogenhoe Village next to the Cogenhoe Primary School we would very much welcome new members  to our friendly and supportive Club. If this is of interest to you and you would like to find out more,  why not contact our Club secretary by emailing,  keithfossey@gmail .com    and he will be very happy to contact you by return.
